Looks like Donald Trump is gaining serious traction with Teamsters members, according to internal polls from the union. In a head-to-head matchup with Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump leads by a sizable margin, 59% to 34%, based on polling within the organization.
Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien emphasized that the union is committed to a transparent and democratic endorsement process. He stated that the Teamsters have worked to make this the most inclusive Presidential endorsement process in the union’s 121-year history, ensuring that the voices of their members guide the final decision.
Although the Teamsters haven’t officially endorsed any candidate yet, their General Executive Board is set to make a major announcement on Wednesday regarding their decision. Stay tuned—this could shake up the 2024 race in a big way!
